PRIVATE MARKET / PRE-IPO STOCK SPOTLIGHT — “MUST OWN” EDITION
SARONIC TECHNOLOGIES & DATABRICKS
Infinite Innovation Newsletter · For our Network of Accredited Investors Only · July 30, 2026

COACH KYLE’s Note-
This week’s Spotlight puts two of the most important private companies on the planet, through THE GAUNTLET — the G.L.A. proprietary scoring system for identifying the best risk-vs-reward innovation ownership positions for the next 5 and 10 years.
Both Saronic Technologies (the “Anduril of the Ocean”) and Databricks(the data + AI operating system for the Fortune 500) pass all ten of the G.L.A Gauntlet criteria. Both are compounding at rates almost never seen at their scale. Both have visionary, founder-led leadership. Both have fortress balance sheets and blue-chip investor syndicates. And in our view, both are set up to deliver exponential returns over the next 5 years — Databricks via a likely 2027 IPO, Saronic via either a strategic acquisition (we believe Anduril is the most logical acquirer) or its own IPO path.
Let’s get into it.
1) SARONIC TECHNOLOGIES — “The Anduril of the Seas”

HQ: Austin, TX · Founded: 2022 · CEO: Dino Mavrookas (former Navy SEAL, DEVGRU / SEAL Team Six)
Latest valuation: $9.25B (Series D, March 31, 2026, led by Kleiner Perkins) —
Total raised: ~$2.6B across five rounds
The Business
Saronic designs, builds, and operates a family of AI-powered Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) for the U.S. Navy, U.S. allies, and dual-use commercial customers. The lineup now spans the 6-ft Spyglass, 14-ft Cutlass, 24-ft Corsair, 52-ft Mirage, 60-ft Cipher, and the flagship 150-ft Marauder MUSV — a fully autonomous, 25+ knot, 5,400-nautical-mile, 150-metric-ton payload warship purpose-built for long-range unmanned missions.

The critical differentiator is not just the vessels — it’s the vertically integrated production model. Saronic acquired Louisiana-based Gulf Craft in April 2025 and is scaling its Franklin, LA shipyard to output 20 Marauders per year by end of 2026, with the long-term Port Alpha shipyard planned to build hundreds of vessels annually.
Ukraine’s war has proved that $250K sea drones can sink billion-dollar warships. Meanwhile, China’s shipyards outproduce the U.S. Navy by more than 100x. Saronic is the only Western pure-play attacking that gap at Silicon Valley speed — designing, building, and launching an entirely new class of warship in under 12 months, a pace not seen since the WWII Liberty Ship era.

Recent Milestones (2025–2026)
May 2026: First Marauder MUSV hull launched — from keel-laying (Aug 2025) to on-water trials in under one year.
March 31, 2026: Closed $1.75B Series D at $9.25B post-money, led by Kleiner Perkins.
June 2026: Selected by U.S. Navy for MUSV Marketplace at-sea demonstrations (one of 7 companies, ~$15M award + follow-on production eligibility).
Late 2025: $392M+ NAVSEA production contract for the Corsair USV (~$197M already obligated).
April 2026: MOU with Taiwan’s NCSIST — planting a flag in the Taiwan Strait.
July 2026: Launched Mirage (52-ft dual-use ASV), completing a 6-platform product ladder.
CNBC Disruptor 50 (2026): Ranked #40 — first-time list appearance.

Secondary Market Valuation History
Date | Round | Amount | Post-Money Valuation |
|---|---|---|---|
2022 | Seed | Undisclosed | — |
Oct 2023 | Series A | $55M | ~$300M |
Jul 2024 | Series B | $175M | ~$1.0B (unicorn) |
Feb 2025 | Series C | $600M | $4.0B |
Mar 2026 | Series D | $1.75B | $9.25B |
Valuation has moved from ~$1B → $9.25B in ~20 months — a 9x step-up.

TAM(Total Addressable Market
The Pentagon has funded roughly $2.1B for MUSVs alone in the “One Big Beautiful Bill”, and the MUSV program is the Navy’s largest unmanned initiative with more than $6B in funding. The broader hybrid-fleet doctrine (Navy targeting ~50% of surface fleet unmanned long-term), Golden Fleet initiative, Replicator, allied navies (UK, Taiwan, Japan, Australia), and dual-use commercial logistics point to a >$100B addressable market this decade, with a long tail into subsea, sensors, and payload integration.

MOAT
Vertically integrated shipyard — Franklin, LA + planned Port Alpha give Saronic control from steel to autonomy stack, mirroring Anduril and SpaceX’s playbook.
Speed — design-to-sea in <12 months is unmatched in U.S. shipbuilding since WWII.
Autonomy stack as a moat — the same proven ASV autonomy runs across the entire 6-ft to 180-ft product ladder; Anduril Lattice partner integration.
Founder-Operator DNA — CEO Dino Mavrookas (Navy SEAL, SEAL Team Six), CTO Vibhav Altekar (ex-Anduril), CCO Rob Lehman (USMC). This is a team that knows the customer and how to build.
Government trust + FAR-bypassing OTAs — already inside the tent with a $392M NAVSEA production OTA.
Notable Backers / Investors
Series D lead: Kleiner Perkins (Ilya Fushman on the board) · Existing: Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), 8VC (Joe Lonsdale — Palantir co-founder), Caffeinated Capital, Elad Gil (individual — led Series C), General Catalyst, Lightspeed, Point72 Ventures, NightDragon, Franklin Templeton · New in D: Advent International, Bessemer Venture Partners, DFJ Growth, BAM Elevate.
This is a stacked cap table — the Palantir mafia (Lonsdale), the top defense-tech operator investor (Elad Gil), and Silicon Valley’s most disciplined growth funds all aligned.

Path to Exit — Why We Think ANDURIL Is the Most Likely Acquirer
Saronic has two viable exit paths, and we lean toward strategic acquisition by Anduril as the highest-probability, highest-multiple outcome:

Case for Anduril acquisition:
Anduril just closed a $5B Series H at $61B in May 2026 and is aggressively building its own maritime capability (Kraken K5/K7 USVs, Foss Maritime shipyard in Seattle, HD Hyundai partnership for MASC vessels).
Saronic is already an Anduril Lattice Partner Program launch member — the software integration path is already built.
Saronic’sCTO Vibhav Altekar isex-Anduril — cultural fit is unusually strong.
Buying Saronic would give Anduril the full ASV product ladder (6-ft to 180-ft) plus the Franklin shipyard + Port Alpha in one stroke — no competitor can match that instantly.
At $9.25B today, an Anduril acquisition at a 1.5–2.5x premium ($15–$25B) is well within reach given Anduril’s $61B currency and Andreessen Horowitz overlap on both cap tables.
Case for standalone IPO:
Sacra projects $400M+ revenue in 2025, scaling on a $392M multi-year OTA and MUSV production.
Anduril’s next round rumored at $80B+; if Saronic can compound revenue >2x/year and win a MUSV production contract, a 2027–2028 IPO at $25B+ is on the table.

Either way, we believe the path from $9.25B to $25B+ over 3–5 years is the base case, not the bull case.
Recent Notable News
Marauder MUSV enters at-sea trials — first hull launched May 2026, hulls #2/#3/#4 already under construction.
CENTCOM reportedly deployed Corsair USVs against an Iranian midget submarine at Bandar Abbas — first-of-its-kind operational use of American maritime one-way attack drones.
Taiwan NCSIST MOU signed April 24, 2026 — potential co-development pipeline for Taiwan defense requirements.
Castelion partnership to integrate the Blackbeard hypersonic vehicle onto Marauder — turning the MUSV into a launch platform.

Short-Term Catalysts (next 6–12 months)
MUSV Marketplace at-sea testing wraps October 2026 — a $15M payment plus follow-on production eligibility.
Next MUSV solicitation (“high-capacity” logistics variant) — RFP dropping Aug 1, 2026.
Franklin shipyard expansion complete Q4 2026 → 20 Marauders/year run-rate in early 2027.
Corsair follow-on obligations against the remaining $195M under the $392M OTA ceiling.

Long-Term Catalysts (2027–2030)
Port Alpha groundbreaking (Brownsville, TX or Gulf Coast) — hundreds of vessels/year.
Navy’s Golden Fleet doctrine build-out — half the surface fleet unmanned.
Allied contracts (UK Royal Navy hybrid navy, Taiwan, Japan).
Strategic acquisition by Anduril OR IPO 2027–2028.
Payload/sensor ecosystem revenue (hypersonics, ASW, ISR).

THE GAUNTLET — Saronic Score: 10/10
# | Criterion | Verdict | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | Big / developed enough to predict (min $2B mkt cap, $100M rev) | ✅ (exception granted) | $9.25B valuation. Sacra pegs 2025 revenue at ~$400M+, so we grant the revenue exception given the $392M OTA already booked. |
2 | Visionary, innovation-obsessed founder | ✅ | Dino Mavrookas — Navy SEAL / SEAL Team Six operator building at Silicon Valley speed. |
3 | “Must-have” product/service | ✅ | The U.S. Navy has publicly stated it must have autonomous surface vessels to counter China. Saronic is a top-3 pure-play. |
4 | Hyper sales growth + fortress balance sheet | ✅ | ~$2.6B raised, $9.25B valuation, revenue trajectory $12.5M (’24) → ~$400M (’25E). |
5 | Huge TAM | ✅ | $6B+ MUSV alone, $100B+ total addressable across hybrid fleet, allies, subsea, and commercial. |
6 | Impenetrable moat | ✅ | Vertically integrated shipyard + autonomy stack + government relationships + Lattice integration. |
7 | Best-in-class risk/reward | ✅ | Downside floor set by $392M OTA + strategic value to Anduril; upside is 3–10x over 5 years. |
8 | Solving a major societal problem | ✅ | Restoring U.S. maritime dominance and Western naval production capacity. |
9 | Proven investors behind it | ✅ | Kleiner Perkins, a16z, Joe Lonsdale/8VC, Elad Gil, Peter Thiel-adjacent networks. |
10 | Wall St doesn’t yet understand it | ✅ | Still a private-market story; most public-equity managers can’t own it. |
VERDICT: MUST OWN
Watch the media linked in this archived edition2) DATABRICKS — “The Data + AI Operating System”

HQ: San Francisco, CA · Founded: 2013 · CEO: Ali Ghodsi
Latest primary valuation: $134B (Series L, Feb 9, 2026) —
Secondary-market valuation: ~$157B–$170B (Forge / NPM, July 2026)
CNBC Disruptor 50 (2026):RANKED #3

The Business
Databricks is the unified data + AI platform used by 70% of the Fortune 500 (Databricks). Its Lakehouse architecture — combining Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, and now Lakebase (serverless Postgres for AI agents), Genie(conversational chat-to-data), Lakewatch (agentic security SIEM), and Agent Bricks — makes Databricks the operating system enterprises use to put their data to work with AI.
CEO Ali Ghodsi’s thesis is simple: “AI doesn’t have an intelligence problem, it has a context problem.” Whoever owns the enterprise’s governed data owns the AI stack. Databricks is winning that race.

Recent Milestones (2025–2026)
Feb 9, 2026: Announced ~$5B equity Series L at $134B + ~$2B new debt — total >$7B package. Investors: J.P. Morgan, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, QIA, Morgan Stanley, Neuberger Berman, Andreessen Horowitz, Thrive, MGX, and more
Q4 FY26 (reported Feb 2026): $5.4B revenue run-rate, +65% YoY, positive FCF, NRR >140%, $1.4B AI-product run-rate, 800+ customers >$1M ARR, 70+ customers >$10M ARR
June 16, 2026 (Data + AI Summit): ARR jumped again to $6.9B, +80%+ YoY; AI product revenue at $1.7B
June 2026: Announced acquisition of Panther Labs (AI SOC / SIEM) — third security acquisition, building out the Security Lakehouse.
March 2026: Launched Lakewatch, agentic SIEM directly attacking Splunk / CrowdStrike.
2025: Acquired Neon (serverless Postgres) — the foundation of Lakebase.
CNBC Disruptor 50 2026: RANKED #3 — top-3 most disruptive private company in the world.
Secondary Market Valuation History
Date | Round | Post-Money Valuation |
|---|---|---|
Sep 2023 | Series I | $43B |
Dec 2024 | Series J | $62B |
Aug 2025 | Series K | ~$100B |
Feb 2026 | Series L | $134B (primary) |
Jul 2026 | Secondary (Forge) | ~$170B implied at $242.04/share (Forge) |
Jul 2026 | NPM secondary | ~$157B (Moonberg) |
Databricks equity has ~4x’d on the secondary market over the last 24 months. Hiive shows $259.60/share (Hiive), Forge at $242.04/share as of July 2026.

TAM(Total Addressable Market)
Data + Analytics + AI infrastructure: >$500B by 2030.
AI infrastructure & agents: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang points to a $1T+ opportunity.
Adjacent expansions: Security/SIEM (~$50B market being disrupted with Lakewatch + Panther), Customer Data Platforms (CustomerLake), operational databases (Lakebase vs. AWS RDS / Oracle).
Ghodsi explicitly said Databricks is now attacking new markets adjacent to its core because “the barrier to entry for competing in software has collapsed thanks to AI” ([Bloomberg interview, July 2026]).
Databricks is now a multi-market compounder, not a single-market pure-play.
MOAT (Competitive moat to keep competition at bay)
Open Lakehouse standard — Delta Lake + Iceberg + Unity Catalog is the de-facto enterprise data standard. Every new enterprise wants to put data in an open format; Databricks captured that shift while Snowflake resisted it.
70% of Fortune 500 already customers.
NRR >140% — customers spend 40%+ more year over year.
Agent-driven consumption model — Ghodsi: “81%+ of queries on Databricks are now generated by agents, not humans” ([Bloomberg]). Agents scale consumption exponentially with no human labor bottleneck.
Cost/proprietary data flywheel — quadrillion-data-point trace archive is now training internal ML models to build a next-gen “Reyden” query engine that no competitor can replicate.
Strategic investor lock-in — Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Salesforce all invested; deep cloud integrations across all three hyperscalers.

Notable Backers / Investors
Series L (Feb 2026): Thrive Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, MGX, J.P. Morgan, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Morgan Stanley, Neuberger Berman, Glade Brook, UBS.
Earlier rounds:Insight Partners, T. Rowe Price, Franklin Templeton, Coatue, BlackRock, Blackstone, Baillie Gifford, GIC, ICONIQ Growth, DST Global, NEA, Tiger Global, Wellington, Temasek, Ontario Teachers, Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS, CapitalG (Google), Salesforce Ventures.
Ben Horowitz (a16z) has publicly told Ghodsi Databricks should be a trillion-dollar company — he’s kept them from selling at prior 8- and 10-figure offers.
Path to Exit — IPO 2027 Is Our Base Case
CEO Ghodsi has said publicly (July 2026): “Now is not the ideal time to go public… A strong financial position safeguards us and provides several years of runway” . He argues 2026 is being distorted by “three gigantic private IPOs that have never raised amounts like this before” — meaning OpenAI, Anthropic, and possibly xAI/SpaceX. His logic: let those mega-IPOs clear the market, then Databricks goes in 2027 with less competition for private-to-public capital rotation.
THE PARTNERSHIP WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR

Databricks × Palantir — “The AI Operating System of the Fortune 500”
Two of the most important companies in the AI stack — one public (Palantir, NASDAQ: PLTR, ~$400B mkt cap) and one private (Databricks, ~$134B primary / ~$170B secondary) — are now formally married at the product level. Announced March 13, 2025 at Palantir’s AIPCon 6, the “strategic product partnership” has quietly become one of the most consequential enterprise AI alliances of this cycle
By October 2025, over 100 joint customers had already deployed the integration into production — a pace almost unheard of in enterprise software. In June 2026, Databricks named Palantir its ISV Public Sector Partner of the Year.
What They Actually Built
The integration is not marketing fluff — it’s real product engineering across four pillars.
Data Federation — Palantir Foundry can register Databricks tables as Virtual Tables through Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing. Bidirectional. No ETL. No data movement.
Governance Integration — Databricks’ Unity Catalog provides the unified governance layer; Palantir’s multimodal, military-grade security layer sits on top.
Compute Pushdown — Workflows authored in Palantir Foundry can push compute back to Databricks, so processing runs where the data lives.
AI & Workflow Integration — Models trained in Databricks (including via Agent Bricks) can be registered directly in Foundry and consumed inside Palantir’s Ontology-driven workflows.
In plain English: Databricks is the data brain. Palantir is the operational cortex.Together, they let a Fortune 500 CIO wire enterprise data into decision-grade AI workflows without ripping and replacing anything.

The Customer List Tells the Story
The joint customer roster is stacked, and it spans defense, healthcare, finance, and energy:
U.S. Department of Defense
U.S. Department of the Treasury
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
bp (energy supermajor)
R1 RCM (healthcare revenue-cycle giant)
United Airlines

Recent Notable News
Panther Labs acquisition ($1.4B last valuation) — the Security Lakehouse now has 100+ prebuilt integrations and agentic SOC workflows.
CustomerLake launched at Data + AI Summit 2026 — agentic Customer Data Platform.
Lakebase revenue is 2x what Databricks’ data warehouse product did at the same stage.
Iceberg v3 GA, Lakehouse//RT beta — new “Reyden” real-time query engine built from a decade of quadrillion-row usage traces.
80%+ Chinese/open-source model usage growing on Databricks Unity Gateway as enterprises manage AI cost — Databricks is the neutral governance layer.
Short-Term Catalysts (next 6–12 months)
Q1 FY27 earnings — track whether the 80% YoY growth rate holds; if it does, IPO windows open.
Full integration and launch of Panther-powered Lakewatch — direct assault on Splunk/CrowdStrike ($100B+ combined market cap).
Additional strategic acquisitions using the $7B war chest.
Employee tender / secondary sponsored liquidity events → more visible price discovery.
Long-Term Catalysts (2027–2030)
IPO 2027 — our base case for $250+ debut.
Security Lakehouse takes >5% of SIEM market → $2B+ new revenue stream.
Agent Bricks + Lakebase → Databricks becomes the default operational data layer for the agentic era.
International expansion — Latin America, Asia, EMEA all “accelerating in every region” per Ghodsi.
Custom-model / RL fine-tuning becomes mainstream → AI Runtime revenue scales exponentially.

VERDICT: MUST OWN.

G.L.A. Portfolio View
Both Saronic and Databricks are top-rate Risk vs Reward Companies. They belong on the Private Market Must-Own Watchlist alongside Stripe, Anduril, and the innovation platform companies we’ve been tracking.
Our positioning stance:(not investment advice, strictly my opinion)
Databricks — For accredited investors– accumulate on secondary platform’s like HIIVE or FORGE or with a trusted private equity fund (Ace Management Partners) between now and IPO 2027. The 10:1 supply/demand imbalance is a gift for patient capital.
Saronic — accumulate near their recent round -($9.25B valuation) where available; an Anduril acquisition at a 1.5–2.5x premium in the next 24–36 months is our base case, with an IPO as the alternative upside path.
Both companies check all ten of The G.L.A Gauntlet criteria. Both are compounding at rates that break conventional public-market growth models. Both have founder-CEOs with skin in the game and blue-chip investor syndicates that will not let them fail.
We believe both will deliver exponential returns over the next 5 years and beyond.
