Top 10 Things That Happened in the Markets, Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Happy Tuesday To The Greatest Living American’s!

Welcome back to the best newsletter on Earth, Here’s what happened today….
1. Soft PCE cools October Fed hike bets August PCE came in cooler than expected! YAY! Headline was up 3.4% year over year (vs ~3.7% expected) and core was up about 3.0% (vs ~3.3%). CME FedWatch odds of an October hike fell to roughly 37% from about 51% a day earlier. It was the session's main macro catalyst for growth stocks and crypto. We want this chart to reverse.

Long Duration Assets Dont Like High Rates…… It’s ok because we love sales! i
2. Nasdaq finishes higher, S&P slips as the quarter closes Per Reuters' close: Nasdaq Composite +0.24% to 26,861.06, S&P 500 -0.25% to 7,651.54, Dow -0.86% to 50,906.05. Both the S&P and Nasdaq locked a second straight quarterly gain. For September, Nasdaq was +1.86%, S&P -0.45% and Dow -4.29%, and the Dow snapped a five-month win streak. Don’t forget, over the shorterm the stock market is a voting machine that is swayed up and down by news opinion and emotion, over the longterm its a weighing machine that measures a company’s true value with its fundamentals. G.L.A Loves the Weighing Machine!

A lot of drama, up and down, ended up a flat quarter. The lesson is to not hang on every tick up or down.
3. Micron's AI-memory print resets the bar MU reported record fiscal Q4 revenue of $54.23B (vs ~$51.07B consensus) and non-GAAP EPS of $33.42, with full-year revenue at $133.19B. The Q1 FY27 guide is ~$61.5B revenue (±$1.5B). It's another reminder that memory, not just GPUs, is a core AI bottleneck.

4. Tesla locks $30B in credit lines for Cybercab, Optimus and Terafab TSLA disclosed ~$30B in new facilities (a Citibank delayed-draw loan plus Wells Fargo revolvers) aimed at capex for next-generation products and infrastructure. Capex guidance is over $25B, vs ~$8.5B last year. The company said it does not plan to draw in 2026. The stock closed about $354.81 (+0.56%). ( Operation Own Cybercab Fleet has begun )

5. Bitcoin pops above $85K on cool inflation BTC briefly cleared $85,000 (highs reported around $85,500 to $85,600) after PCE, then eased into the mid-$84,000s. Soft inflation helped risk assets, and elevated Treasury yields remain the overhang.

6. Mega-cap tech carries the tape while breadth lags Microsoft, Apple and Nvidia each finished higher (AAPL ~$333.02, +1.1%; NVDA ~$228.38, +0.5%; MSFT ~$512.90, +0.8%), lifting S&P tech even as nine of eleven S&P sectors ended lower. Meta finished weaker (~$725.18, -1.8%). Leadership is narrow, and AI-linked names are still the bid.

7. Robinhood goes agentic: AI traders, weekend hours, crypto perps At HOOD Summit, Robinhood unveiled AI trading agents, plans for certain U.S. equities to trade 24/7 including weekends (starting next year), and crypto perpetual futures in the app. CNBC noted shares were little changed on the day. The active-trader arms race continues.

8. OpenAI joins the personal-agent war, with ARR near $70B OpenAI launched "Dots," its always-on personal agent, days after Meta's Muse, with Google Gemini Spark and Apple's next-gen Siri in the same fight. Axios reported OpenAI's annualized revenue run rate is nearing $70B as enterprise sales accelerate. The platform war is shifting from chatbots to agents that actually do work. COACH KYLE’s 2 CENTS-GROK IS THE BEST, and GROK BOTS is Amazing, Im choosing Elon with the LLM, the company that controls the compute will control AI.

9. Growth still printing while yields stay sticky ADP showed private payrolls +90,000 in September, and Q2 GDP was revised up to a 2.2% annualized rate, with AI infrastructure investment cited as a support. Stocks faded into the close as the 2-year yield edged higher and longer yields stayed elevated. Strong growth against high rates is still the tug-of-war.IMHO -THE WORLDS GDP GROWTH WILL BE AMAZING OVER THE NEXT 10 YEARS.

10. Nike on deck for Thursday's Q1 FY27 print NKE reports after the close Oct. 1. Consensus sits near ~$11.3B revenue and ~$0.44 adjusted EPS, both down year over year. The focus is gross margin vs last year's 42.2%, Greater China, wholesale recovery and FY27 guidance credibility, not just the headline beat. Our full Nike spotlight is above.IMHO $NKE is another legacy company that has been ripping off the public for a long time, the youth has figured out that they can get the same sneakers for 1/4th the cost with replica’s. Im not saying they are going out of business, they are still a great company, but their Jordan brands are down big, and with $100 oil $200 Nike’s are not on the menu.
