The Long-Term Digital-Asset Opportunity

We are bullish on Bitcoin, selective in crypto, and focused on the long-term innovation cycle—not daily price noise. At G.L.A INVE$T RE$EARCH, our research indicates that Bitcoin remains a buy-and-hold asset and, for investors with sufficient volatility tolerance, one of the strongest dollar-cost-averaging opportunities in the market.

We believe the coming decade will be the Super Bowl of investing. The world is entering what may be the largest innovation and productivity boom since the early 1900s, driven by artificial intelligence, robotics, energy, digital assets, autonomous systems, biotechnology, space technology, and the convergence of software with the physical economy.

This is not a call to chase every headline, token, or short-term rally. It is a call to understand the game board we are playing on.

The G.L.A. Position

G.L.A INVE$T RE$EARCH is a research company—not a registered financial advisor. We provide research, education, analysis, and our own investment perspective. Our strategy is not appropriate for everyone.

-Our philosophy is built for investors seeking exponential growth over a five-to-ten-year horizon. We look for a small number of exceptional public and private-market opportunities that our research suggests may have the potential to compound at extraordinary rates—potentially 10x, 20x, or 30x over time.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

-That requires a different mindset than index hugging, daily trading, or chasing the latest social-media trade.

Our core framework is simple:

Dollar-Cost Averaging+Exponential Growth+Compounding=Generational Wealth

We believe the strongest strategy for the right investor is often:

  • Own the best of the best.

  • Build positions methodically over time.

  • Dollar-cost average into high-conviction assets during volatility.

  • Maintain a focused portfolio of roughly 5–10 exceptional public companies and assets.

  • Apply a similarly selective, patient approach to private-market investing.

  • Know exactly what you own, why you own it, and what could invalidate the thesis.

  • Avoid emotional decisions driven by fear, hype, FOMO, or short-term price action.

A concentrated strategy can create meaningful upside—but it also carries meaningful risk. Volatility tolerance is not optional. Investors must be extremely selective about what enters the portfolio and remain vigilant once it is there.

Bitcoin: Our Core Digital-Asset Thesis

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Bitcoin remains our highest-conviction digital asset.

We view Bitcoin as a decentralized, scarce, globally transferable digital monetary asset. Its supply is capped at 21 million coins, it operates independently of a central issuer, and its adoption is increasingly intersecting with institutional investing, corporate treasury strategy, macroeconomic liquidity, and government policy.

Bitcoin’s core problem-solving role is straightforward: it offers an alternative asset with verifiable scarcity in a world of expanding sovereign debt, monetary uncertainty, currency debasement concerns, and digital financial networks.

Bitcoin is not a stock. It has no earnings multiple, management team, dividend, or traditional balance sheet. Its value proposition rests on scarcity, network effects, security, liquidity, acceptance, and the willingness of individuals, institutions, corporations, and governments to treat it as a long-term monetary asset.

Why We Remain Bullish

Original illustration from this archived newsletter
  • Bitcoin is increasingly accessible through institutional investment products and public-market vehicles.

  • Major corporations continue to evaluate Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset.

  • Bitcoin’s fixed supply creates a scarcity dynamic that cannot be replicated by traditional fiat currencies.

  • Global liquidity, interest-rate expectations, and monetary policy can provide powerful long-term tailwinds.

  • Digital-native generations may increasingly view Bitcoin as a store-of-value alternative to gold.

  • The United States has already established a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve framework through executive action, using Bitcoin forfeited to the federal government and directing that reserve Bitcoin not be sold.

Our view is broadly aligned with the long-term, innovation-led perspectives expressed by ARK Invest’s Cathie Wood and macro investor Raoul Pal. Wood has maintained a highly bullish long-range Bitcoin outlook, identifying institutional adoption and Bitcoin’s scarcity as central elements of her thesis. Pal’s bullish view centers on crypto’s long-term position within a liquidity-driven, digitally native economic system, including the growing importance of AI agents and on-chain financial activity.

That does not mean we rely on anyone else’s price targets or assume their forecasts will prove correct. We do not. We conduct our own research. But we share the high-level conviction that Bitcoin may be one of the defining financial and technological assets of this era.

Our Bitcoin Strategy

Our research supports a long-term buy-and-hold approach to Bitcoin, with disciplined dollar-cost averaging for investors who understand the risks.

The key word is disciplined.

Dollar-cost averaging does not remove risk. It does not guarantee a profit. It does not protect an investor from a prolonged decline. It is a framework for steadily building exposure over time rather than attempting to perfectly time tops and bottoms in a highly volatile asset.

For the long-term investor, the goal is not to predict every 10% move. The goal is to participate in the structural adoption curve while maintaining position sizing that allows you to stay invested through inevitable drawdowns.

The CLARITY Act: A Major U.S. Catalyst

The Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act is among the most important policy developments for the U.S. crypto industry. Its goal is to establish a clearer federal framework for digital-asset market structure, including rules that affect exchanges, brokers, custody, token classification, and regulatory oversight.

The House passed its version of the bill by a bipartisan 294–134 vote. The Senate process remains unfinished, and the eventual timing, language, amendments, and likelihood of final enactment remain uncertain.

If the CLARITY Act is passed, we believe it could be a major turning point for the U.S. digital-asset ecosystem.

Clearer rules could make it easier for banks, registered investment firms, exchanges, custodians, public companies, and large institutions to engage with digital assets. It could reduce a layer of regulatory uncertainty that has discouraged capital formation and slowed adoption.

Our opinion: following meaningful regulatory clarity, the United States could take more deliberate steps toward accumulating Bitcoin for its Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. This is our forward-looking view—not a confirmed government plan. The existing executive order already created the Reserve, capitalized it initially with forfeited Bitcoin, directed that the Bitcoin in the reserve be retained rather than sold, and instructed Treasury and Commerce to develop budget-neutral strategies for acquiring additional digital assets.

If that develops into a formal accumulation policy, we believe it could become one of the most consequential long-term catalysts in Bitcoin’s history.

Ethereum: Programmable Finance

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Ethereum is not simply a competing form of money. It is programmable infrastructure for digital ownership, decentralized finance, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and smart contracts.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Ethereum seeks to solve the problem of closed, fragmented, intermediary-heavy financial and software systems. It enables financial agreements, applications, and digital assets to operate through code on a shared blockchain network.

What Ethereum Could Enable

  • Tokenized Treasury products, funds, equities, real estate, and private credit.

  • Stablecoins that move globally at internet speed.

  • Smart-contract-based financial products.

  • Digital ownership, settlement, and collateral systems.

  • On-chain applications built without conventional centralized intermediaries.

A growing theme is institutional and corporate ETH accumulation. Reports surrounding BitMine’s strategy to potentially seek ownership of as much as 5% of Ethereum supply illustrate the scale of conviction that could emerge around ETH as an infrastructure and treasury asset. This type of strategy also introduces significant liquidity, execution, valuation, and concentration risks.

Ethereum Catalysts

  • Growth in stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets.

  • Corporate and institutional ETH treasury adoption.

  • Higher staking participation and evolving supply dynamics.

  • Broader use of Ethereum and its scaling networks for financial settlement.

  • Regulatory clarity around custody, staking, and tokenized securities.

Ethereum remains a higher-complexity thesis than Bitcoin. It may offer greater exposure to the growth of on-chain financial infrastructure, but it also faces competitive, regulatory, technology, and execution risk.

Solana: High-Speed Digital Commerce

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Solana is designed to address the cost, speed, and throughput constraints seen on earlier blockchain networks.

Its central objective is to support fast, low-cost transactions for decentralized trading, payments, consumer applications, gaming, tokenized assets, and on-chain financial activity. Solana’s value proposition is high-performance blockchain infrastructure that can serve a very large number of users and transactions.

Solana Catalysts

  • Continued growth in decentralized-exchange and stablecoin activity.

  • Greater institutional access through investment products and fund flows.

  • Increased adoption in payments, consumer applications, trading, and tokenization.

  • Governance proposals that may speed Solana’s token disinflation and increase token burning.

  • Continued technical upgrades, including development around faster transaction finality.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Solana recently received attention following reported ETF inflows, growing decentralized-exchange volume, and governance discussions related to token economics. These are constructive developments, but they do not eliminate risks around network reliability, competition, valuation, and the sustainability of network usage.

G.L.A. view: Solana is an innovation infrastructure thesis. It is not a guaranteed winner. However, its combination of speed, low transaction cost, developer activity, consumer usability, and growing financial-market use cases gives it a meaningful role in the high-performance blockchain conversation.

XRP: Cross-Border Settlement

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

XRP is primarily a cross-border payments and settlement thesis.

The problem XRP seeks to address is the friction of global money movement: slow settlement, high transaction costs, multiple intermediaries, and the need for liquidity to be pre-funded across different currencies and payment corridors.

Its value proposition is a digital asset designed to enable rapid transfer of value and potential liquidity support for cross-border transactions.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

XRP Catalysts

  • Greater U.S. regulatory clarity.

  • Expanded institutional custody and payment-network adoption.

  • Continued development of XRP-focused investment products.

  • Broader recognition of digital assets as collateral, settlement tools, and treasury assets.

  • Progress on federal market-structure legislation, including the CLARITY Act.

XRP’s potential upside depends substantially on real-world institutional adoption. That means investors should look beyond price charts and monitor actual payment volumes, partnerships, regulatory developments, liquidity, custody availability, and competitive pressure from stablecoins, bank-led payment systems, and other blockchain networks.

G.L.A. view: XRP is a targeted infrastructure and payments thesis. It should be analyzed differently from Bitcoin. Bitcoin is primarily a digital scarcity and monetary-asset thesis; XRP’s success depends more directly on utility, integration, and adoption within payments and settlement.

Strategy: MSTR and STRC

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, remains one of the most important public-market Bitcoin proxies. MSTR gives investors exposure to a corporate Bitcoin treasury strategy, but investors should understand that owning MSTR is not identical to owning Bitcoin.

MSTR’s share price can be affected by Bitcoin, the company’s capital raises, share issuance, debt, preferred securities, treasury purchases, operating business, market sentiment, and the premium or discount at which the equity trades relative to the company’s underlying Bitcoin holdings.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

MSTR: The Leveraged Bitcoin Equity

MSTR is designed for investors who want equity-market exposure to Strategy’s Bitcoin accumulation strategy. It can provide amplified upside in a strong Bitcoin market—but it can also experience greater downside, dilution risk, and valuation compression.

Recent reporting indicated that Strategy raised approximately $2.01 billion through MSTR share sales, allocated roughly $1.56 billion to a U.S.-dollar cash pool, and used capital for reserve funding and STRC repurchases rather than immediately directing all proceeds toward Bitcoin purchases.

STRC: The Income-Oriented Preferred Layer

STRC is part of Strategy’s preferred-capital structure. It is designed to provide income-oriented exposure through a preferred security rather than common-stock ownership.

For MSTR holders, STRC matters because preferred instruments can create financing flexibility for the company but also create dividend and capital-structure obligations. Investors should monitor dividend coverage, cash reserves, repurchase activity, future issuance, and the security’s trading price relative to par.

The Portfolio We Believe In

At G.L.A., we do not believe investors need to own everything.

In our view, excessive diversification can create the appearance of safety while quietly diluting exposure to the few truly exceptional companies, assets, and technologies capable of driving outsized returns. A portfolio with dozens or hundreds of positions can make it difficult to understand what you own, monitor risk, or meaningfully benefit when a high-conviction thesis is correct.

We believe the appropriate long-term strategy for many investors seeking exponential innovation exposure may be a highly selective portfolio of 5–10 public-market investments, supported by a similarly disciplined private-market strategy.

That does not mean blindly concentrating capital. It means doing deeper research, accepting that volatility is part of the process, using thoughtful position sizing, and only owning investments that meet an extremely high threshold.

Before an investment enters a G.L.A.-style portfolio, we want to understand:

  • What real-world problem does it solve?

  • Is the market opportunity enormous and expanding?

  • Does it have a sustainable competitive moat?

  • Is management visionary, capable, and execution-oriented?

  • Can the product become essential rather than optional?

  • Is the company or network early in a potential hypergrowth curve?

  • Can it survive volatility, recession, competition, and capital-market stress?

  • What would make the thesis wrong?

  • Does the risk/reward profile support the potential for 10x, 20x, or 30x returns over five to ten years?

The private market deserves the same discipline. We seek businesses exposed to enormous secular shifts—artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomy, advanced computing, energy systems, space, digital finance, and other areas where technological progress can create nonlinear outcomes.

NOTINVESTMENT ADVICE

Private investing can offer access to earlier-stage compounding, but it also carries illiquidity, valuation uncertainty, financing risk, dilution, and the possibility of a complete loss. Investors must be patient and selective.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

The Game Board

The market is not standing still.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping software, research, customer service, design, coding, science, medicine, manufacturing, defense, and financial services. Robotics and autonomy are moving from concept to commercialization. Energy storage and next-generation power systems are becoming strategic infrastructure. Space is becoming a commercial platform. Tokenization and blockchain networks are beginning to reshape the movement, custody, ownership, and settlement of value.

We believe these forces could drive a multi-decade productivity boom.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

The investors who benefit most may not be those who predict every weekly headline. They may be the investors who recognize the major technology waves early, own the highest-quality leaders, build positions through volatility, and allow compounding to do the work.

The next ten years may be the Super Bowl of investing—but only for investors willing to prepare, research, hold conviction, and remain disciplined.

THE SUPER BOWL OF INVESTING HAS BEGUN

G.L.A. Bottom Line

We are bullish on Bitcoin. We believe it should be evaluated as a long-term buy-and-hold and dollar-cost-averaging asset for investors who understand its risks and can tolerate severe volatility.

We are constructive on Ethereum, Solana, and XRP because each addresses a distinct opportunity:

  • Bitcoin: scarce digital monetary asset and potential reserve asset.

  • Ethereum: programmable infrastructure for tokenized finance and digital ownership.

  • Solana: high-speed, low-cost network for digital commerce and consumer-scale applications.

  • XRP: cross-border payments and settlement infrastructure.

We are also constructive on carefully selected public-market Bitcoin proxies such as MSTR, while recognizing that company-specific and capital-structure risks make them fundamentally different from direct Bitcoin ownership.

We will remain extremely selective. We will continue to study the policy landscape, monitor adoption, identify catalysts, and separate durable innovation from noise.
