INFINITE INNOVATION NEWSLETTER — STOCK SPOTLIGHT

TESLA, INC. (NASDAQ: TSLA)-”DEEP BREATH EDITION”

Date: July 31, 2026
Author: Coach Kyle / G.L.A. INVEST RESEARCH

Happy Fridays Maniac’s!

Welcome back to the Infinite Innovation Newsletter, where our mission is to keep our network “in the know” with whats really going on with the stock market and its best innovation investments.

Today we are looking at my favorite long term investment TESLA. As we all know Tesla is have a tough time this year as they transition from EV producer to AI and Robotics. One thing I want you to rememberer, we are not in Tesla to trade it for 20-30%, we are in Tesla because we think it will produce exponential growth over the next 5-10 years. When investing longterm, the only two days that matter are the day you buy and the day you sell, everything else in between is just noise.

There is no reason to obsess every day about the current price, especially when we plan on holding it longterm. We watch the company everyday, not the stock. Ive been in this game for over 25 years and I can tell you for a fact—- Over the short term the stock market is a voting machine or popularity content that is swayed up and down by news, opinion, and emotion. Over the longterm the market transforms into a weighing machine that measures a company’s true value with its fundamentals, and guess what TESLA’s fundamentals are about to change drastically!! They will go from making 15% on a one time car sale, into a monthly subscription model at 80-90% margins with FSD and Cybercab. That’s why we are being patient.

Tesla is the most misunderstood platform stock in public markets — a vertically integrated energy, autonomy, robotics, and AI compute company that Wall Street is still valuing like a car company. At $307.51 with a market cap of ~$1.21T, TSLA is trading -31.2% below its January 2026 peak, and it just failed the GAUNTLET’s short-term cash-flow test — not the long-term thesis. This is the setup we wait years for.

Where the Stock Sits Right Now

  • Price: $307.51 (July 31, 2026, mid-session)

  • Market cap: $1.21T

  • P/E (TTM): 176.7x — high, but reflects a compressed FY25 earnings base, not a permanent valuation

  • 52-week range: $297.38 – $498.83

  • Drawdown from Jan 2026 peak (~$447.20): -31.2%

  • Analyst consensus: Buy — average price target $387.80 (+26.1% upside), high $505 (+64.2% upside), low $24.86; 43.8% of analysts bullish

TSLA just took the beating of a lifetime alongside the rest of momentum — as the Cyberbulls panel noted this week, this was the worst July for momentum stocks in 30 years, worse than the dotcom implosion or the GFC on a monthly basis. Google was down -7% the same night TSLA broke through the $310 level. That’s not a Tesla story — that’s a factor-selling story, and factor-selling doesn’t care what your robotaxi build rate looks like.

The Business — What Tesla Actually Is in 2026

Tesla is no longer meaningfully priced on cars. The 2026 business is four stacked engines:

Original illustration from this archived newsletter
  1. Automotive— Model Y (still the world’s best-selling vehicle), Model 3, Cybertruck, Model S/X, and now the Cybercab rolling out of Austin.

  2. Full Self-Driving (FSD) + Robotaxi — Software subscription + per-mile autonomy monetization. As of this month, ~68 unsupervised Cybercabs have been spotted operating driverless (no safety monitor) in Austin. FSD has been re-tuned on the Model Y and sightings are expanding across the U.S.

  3. Energy — Megapack, Powerwall, and Tesla’s grid-storage franchise. This is the fastest-growing segment inside the deck, and the one Wall Street still hasn’t priced.

  4. AI + Robotics — Dojo, Optimus, and the Cortex compute complex. Increasingly interwoven with the SpaceX/xAI ecosystem (see “Path to Exit” below).

FY25 numbers show the pressure of the transition year:

Read that FCF line carefully: even in the worst margin year of the last three, Tesla still generated $6.2B of free cash flow and grew shareholders’ equity to $82.9B. Balance-sheet-wise this is still one of the strongest platform companies in the world. The transcript panel’s concern — “spending is greater than free cash flow” — is a forward-looking capex fear tied to what Tesla + SpaceX may need to spend in the next 3–5 years, not a broken current model.

Growth — Where the Next 5–10 Years Come From

Automotive volume is not the story anymore. The compounding vectors are:

Robotaxi / Cybercab. The panel’s base case: >1 million Cybercabs on roads globally by 2030, with the Austin plant alone capable of 2M units/year. That means Cybercab could exceed all other Tesla vehicles combined within five years. Every unit is a rolling per-mile revenue asset — the closest analog is an Uber that owns 100% of the fleet and pays no driver.

FSD monetization. Fresh Model Y tuning is expanding sightings across the U.S. Europe still requires 65% country/population approval (regulatory drag), and China remains a wild card. But the base FSD subscription attach rate on new deliveries is climbing quietly.

Energy storage. Megapack demand is uncapped as long as AI data centers keep coming online. This ties directly into our [[distributed-energy-for-ai]] thesis.

Optimus + Dojo/Cortex. Optionality, not baseline. But when you buy a platform, you buy the option book.

AI compute leasing. This is the big one nobody has priced yet. Per the transcript’s cite of Gavin Baker on a Nvidia report: SpaceX AI has 4 GW online this year and 4 GW next — plausibly ~$100B in AI leasing revenue capacity, implying ~$1T of standalone market cap just from the AI compute leg. When SpaceX and Tesla eventually consolidate (see below), that value migrates onto the combined ticker.

The Founder — Rule #2

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

Elon Musk. This one doesn’t need a paragraph — the GAUNTLET’s rule #2 lists him first. Post-2018 package conversion + 2025 restricted stock, Elon now controls ~1.1B shares of Tesla. He can’t sell until June 13, 2027. That is one of the most powerful alignment structures on public markets — the founder is locked in, and every incentive is pointed at making the equity as valuable as possible into 2027 and beyond.

Notable Investors — Rule #9

  • Ron Baron (Baron Capital) — publicly targets a $500 → $1,500 → $3,000 long-term equity value per share; has never trimmed

  • Cathie Wood / ARK — 2029 base case in the $2,000+ range driven by robotaxi

  • Institutional ownership at record highs — per the transcript, >2B of ~3.95B shares outstanding sit with institutions (roughly ~50%+), a stark reversal from the historically retail-heavy shareholder base (retail is now ~800M shares / ~20%, down from 50%+ a few years ago)

  • Larry Ellison — long-time personal position

  • Musk himself — the largest single-name insider position on U.S. public markets

  • G.L.A INVE$T / Coach Kyle– Ive been buying Tesla since 2019, studying it and everything in the Tesla universe every day, Ive been thru many dips like this and I can tell you that my confidence is at an all time high.Everything I invested for is still right there infant of the company! Yes the robotaxi roll out is slower than we thought, but who cares, as long as it happens. I understand that I have the luxury of watching and reading about the company all day everyday and many of my readers do not. So it’s hard for folks to have the same confidence I do because they are not going through all of the material I am.

The retail-to-institutional rotation is what our doctrine calls a voting-machine-to-weighing-machine transition. Weak retail hands got shaken out. Strong institutional hands are absorbing the supply.

Problems They Solve — Rule #8

  • Transportation: Removing the human driver eliminates ~40,000 U.S. deaths/year and unlocks trillions in lost economic time.

  • Energy: Solar + storage + grid buffering replaces fossil peakers and enables the AI compute buildout.

  • Labor scarcity: Optimus attacks the largest input cost in every developed economy.

  • AI infrastructure: Vertically integrated compute (Cortex/Dojo) reduces dependence on GPU cartels for autonomy training.

These are civilizational-scale problems. Rule #8 in the G.L.A Gauntlet Scoring System says the biggest problem-solvers deliver the largest long-term returns. Tesla checks this box harder than almost any public company on earth.

Original illustration from this archived newsletter

The MOAT — Rule #6

Tesla’s moat is not one thing; it’s a stack of five reinforcing moats:

  1. Data moat. Billions of real-world FSD miles no competitor can replicate for a decade.

  2. Vertical integration. In-house batteries, motors, silicon (Dojo/HW5), software, and manufacturing. No one else runs the full stack.

  3. Manufacturing physics. Giga-scale gigacastings and unboxed process (Cybercab plant) are pouring the moat wider.

  4. Charging network. Supercharger has become the de facto U.S. standard — every major OEM is now a Tesla customer.

  5. Brand + founder gravity. Talent and capital chase Elon. That is a real moat when the product is talent-limited.

TAM — Rule #5

We stack Tesla’s TAMs (mid-cycle, not blue-sky):

  • Global autonomy / robotaxi: $2–10T annual by 2035

  • EV replacement of ICE: $2–3T

  • Stationary storage: $500B–1T

  • Humanoid robotics: $5–25T (largest single TAM in human history )

  • AI compute leasing (through the SpaceX bridge): $500B–1T

  • Insurance-as-a-service on autonomous miles: $500B+

Combined addressable market north of $10 trillion. Tesla doesn’t need to win all of it. It needs to win any of it at scale to justify the current market cap several times over.

Today, mid-session

Peak-to-trough drawdown from the January highs: -31.2%. This is not a broken stock — this is a factor-driven washout in a platform name whose fundamentals Catalyst 1 — Robotaxi Scale (2026–2030)

Cybercab moves from ~68 unsupervised Austin units today → tens of thousands in 2027 → hundreds of thousands in 2028 → the >1M panel base case by 2030. Every incremental unit is a per-mile revenue annuity.

Catalyst 2 — Elon’s 2027 Unlock (June 13, 2027)

The Musk restricted stock cannot be sold before June 13, 2027. Between now and then, every incentive is aligned with pushing intrinsic value higher. The market historically front-runs these unlocks by 6–12 months.

Catalyst 3 — The SpaceX / Tesla Merger Overhang

Wall Street chatter around a SpaceX / Tesla merger of equals is louder than at any point in the last decade. Structural pointers:

  • SpaceX earnings call is Aug 4, 2026 — first-ever public earnings call structure

  • First SpaceX unlock is Aug 6, 2026 — staggered through December, ~1/3 of unlocks by year-end, remainder in 2027

  • For a merger of equals to work, SpaceX has to be marked as high as possible — every incentive pushes both franchises to publicly document maximum value

  • SpaceX bond spreads have widened on secondary markets (per the panel) — funding-cost signal to watch

When this converges, TSLA becomes the public wrapper around: cars + autonomy + storage + humanoids + Starlink + Starship + AI compute. That is the most concentrated bet on human civilization advancing that has ever existed on public markets.

The Risks We’re Comfortable With — Rule #7

  • Near-term FCF pressure vs. capex. Real. Panel flagged $200B combined Tesla + SpaceX capex over 3–5 years. Manageable given $16.5B cash + $82.9B equity + $6.2B FCF run rate — but the equity market may need to help via issuance.

  • Cybertruck tooling dispute. Angstrom Automotive Group holding Tesla’s custom tooling could pressure Cybertruck volume for 5–6 months. Short-term overhang, not structural.

  • China regulatory risk on robotaxi. Real, but China is <20% of the value at maturity.

  • Europe FSD approval. Requires 65% country/population vote. Slow. Not a thesis-breaker.

  • Elon key-person risk. Real forever. Same is true for every founder-led compounder.

  • Momentum unwind. Already happened. That’s the opportunity, not the risk.

The risks are all known and priced. The upside is what’s mispriced.

✅ PASS

Rule #10 literally names TSLA. Still priced like a car company. Analyst low target is $24.86 vs. high of $505 — a 20x spread. That is Wall Street admitting it has no idea.

GAUNTLET RESULT: 9.5 / 10 pass. The one conditional is a growth/FCF slowdown in a transition year, not a broken thesis. This is a GAUNTLET-approved name. (This a temporary situation and transition, and after the transition the revenue and profits will be insane)

Coach Kyle’s Take

Voting machine short-term. Weighing machine long-term. Right now the voting machine is having a factor-selling temper tantrum in the worst July for momentum in 30 years. The weighing machine will get its turn — and when it does, the weight it’s measuring is:

  • $6.2B FCF in the worst margin year of the cycle

  • $82.9B equity book, growing

  • ~68 driverless Cybercabs on Austin streets today

  • Elon locked in through June 2027

  • A SpaceX merger overhang that makes the current market cap look like a partial payment

  • ~$10T of stacked TAM in front of a company Wall Street still models with a 15x auto multiple

Long-term innovation ownership doctrine says you buy the platform, hold through the volatility, and let the weighing machine do the work. TSLA at $307 is a gift with a bow on it.

This is not investment advice. Volatility is real. But this is the setup our doctrine was built for.
