Top 10 Things That Happened Today.

1. Dow jumps 556 points as falling bond yields beat a hot inflation report
The S&P 500 closed at 7,744.06 (+0.33%), the Nasdaq Composite at 26,713.03 (+0.08%), the Dow at 52,177.69 (+1.08%, up 556 points), and the Russell 2000 at 2,767.27 (+1.38%).
September producer prices rose 1.3% for the month and 6.3% from a year ago, the biggest monthly jump since March 2022, with core up 0.7% and 5.0%. Even so, investors bought Treasurys and the 10-year yield fell about 10 basis points to roughly 5.09%, which let the Nasdaq erase a loss of about 1.4%. Money rotated out of AI names and into Nike, Home Depot and Salesforce, which led the Dow. Bitcoin traded near $82,000 late in the day after its first dip below $80,000 in a month.
OUR VIEW (long term): high 10-year rates pressure innovation and long-duration names. That is par for the course, not a reason to sell. Today the yield fell even on hot data, and our names steadied. Volatility is vitality.
2. CoreWeave bounces 5.9% after Jensen Huang backs it, but its bonds flash distress

CRWV closed at $69.69 (+5.94%) after erasing an early drop of about 7%, following Wednesday's 15.5% fall. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at a Bloomberg event in Stockholm that "CoreWeave's strength is improving every day" and that its cost of capital is decreasing, and he said Nvidia does not need to backstop the company. Nvidia owns about 10% of CoreWeave. Credit markets disagreed: the yield on CoreWeave's 9.75% bond due 2031 reached 15.78% and its five-year default insurance spread stood near 1,038 basis points. CoreWeave carries more than $51 billion of debt and obligations against a backlog Deutsche Bank puts above $100 billion.
OUR VIEW (short term): CoreWeave rents out Nvidia chips with borrowed money, so it feels high rates first and hardest. We watch it as a signal for AI financing stress, and this is why we never use margin ourselves. Im still a long term bull.
3. TSMC posts a sixth straight record profit; Nvidia and AMD still slip

TSMC reported third-quarter revenue of NT$1.49 trillion (about $46.36 billion) and net income of NT$763.1 billion, up 68.7% from a year ago, both above LSEG estimates. It guided fourth-quarter revenue to $52.3 billion to $54.3 billion and said AI chip demand remains well above its supply capacity. The US shares still fell 1.80% to $422.25 after Korea's KOSPI dropped 7.57% overnight. NVDA closed at $217.23 (-1.84%) and AMD at $562.23 (-1.50%), while Micron turned positive and closed at $931.24 (+1.87%). Cerebras edged up to $142.17 (+0.49%). ARK Invest's Big Ideas 2026 treats AI compute as a core platform; that is ARK's third-party framework, and our sizing is our own.
OUR VIEW (long term): the company that makes nearly every advanced AI chip just said demand is bigger than it can supply. That is the fact we weigh. On Cerebras, we have covered it since about $21 in the private market, inference demand looks infinite, and we DCA on weakness.
4. Anthropic tells pre-IPO investors revenue jumped 45% to $16.8 billion; regulators turn up the heat on AI labs

At an investor day in San Francisco late Wednesday, Anthropic said third-quarter revenue rose to $16.8 billion from $11.6 billion in the second quarter and $4.7 billion in the first, and that it was profitable on an adjusted basis, according to Reuters. Reuters reports the company is targeting a valuation above $2 trillion, with its IPO expected after the November midterms and ahead of OpenAI's. On Thursday, at least eight states sued OpenAI under consumer protection laws (AP), and Axios reported the FTC sent civil subpoenas to both OpenAI and Anthropic over safety incidents.
OUR VIEW (long term): this is Mag 7-caliber growth in the private market, and it supports the AI demand behind NVDA, GOOG and AMZN, which are Anthropic's suppliers and partners. Regulation is a real risk we will keep mining before any IPO.
5. Strategy jumps 5.6% as bitcoin recovers from below $80,000

MSTR closed at $151.29 (+5.62%) after trading as low as $134.89. Bitcoin dipped below $80,000 for the first time in a month in the morning, then rebounded to about $82,000 as bond yields fell. ARKB closed at $27.27 (+0.66%) and STRC at $99.53 (-0.21%), near its $100 par. Strategy's holdings stand at 848,250 BTC after its latest purchase, and Michael Saylor said he sees an early bull market.
OUR VIEW (2030): our house view is $1 million per bitcoin by 2030, with MSTR as our vehicle and STRC as our preferred-stock dividend slot, with price and dividend risk. Once the Clarity act / regulation is passed Bitcoin could resume its bull market,
6. Tesla slips 1.3% ahead of tonight's Roadster reveal

TSLA closed at $362.44 (-1.29%) after trading at $356.80 in the morning. Tesla will livestream the next-generation Roadster tonight at 8:55 PM ET from a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas, nearly nine years after it first took deposits, and CNBC expects pricing and production targets. Barclays kept its Hold rating and $370 target. Q3 results are Wednesday, Oct. 21 after the close. Watch the Stream here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SERlm3yiLY
OUR VIEW (2030): our house view is a path to $4,000 per share by 2030 through FSD, Cybercab and robotaxi. The Roadster is a showpiece with little financial impact. The Oct. 21 print is the real check.
7. SpaceX falls 2.3% for a third straight drop as Barclays floats a Tesla merger timeline

SPCX closed at $148.62 (-2.33%) on about 97.6 million shares, after trading as low as $140.66. The stock has fallen from $163.42 on Monday's close. In a note late Wednesday, Barclays analyst Dan Levy said a Tesla and SpaceX merger announcement is possible before Tesla's annual meeting, likely held by Dec. 6 at the latest, and called vertical integration of AI across both companies supportive. Neither company has announced a deal.
OUR VIEW (long term): merger talk is speculation until the companies say otherwise. We view the merger as a matter of when not if, I couldn’t love both companies more than I do now, They are the two best risk vs reward longterm investments IMHO.

8. Anduril opens an employee tender at a $90 billion valuation

Anduril opened a tender offer for employees in 16 countries that values the defense tech company at $90 billion, five months after it topped $60 billion - CNBC reports. CEO Brian Schimpf said on CNBC that the company wins Pentagon work "based on the merits," after ethics questions about co-founder Palmer Luckey's ties to the administration. Anduril announced a shipyard contract worth up to $2.9 billion on Oct. 6, and Schimpf said the company is not rushing to IPO.
OUR VIEW (long term): an increase of about 50% in private value in five months is the kind of compounding we look for in Mag 7-caliber private companies. Politics is a risk to watch, not a thesis breaker.

9. Robinhood climbs back 2.9% after Wednesday's downgrade slide

HOOD closed at $103.99 (+2.88%) after touching $94.52 early, a recovery from Wednesday's 8.54% drop that followed a Wolfe Research downgrade. Q3 results are Tuesday, Oct. 27 after the close.
OUR VIEW (long term): analyst ratings are opinions, not facts. We hold HOOD for the platform and the product pace, not one rating change. $HOOD is easy , The Stock market goes up longterm as will Robinhoods AUM, same thing with Bitcoin. So if you agree the market goes up longterm and you agree that Bitcoin will do the same, then you are a $HOOD BULL!
10. Palantir signs Customers Bank; Alphabet and Amazon hold steady

Customers Bank said it will deploy Palantir's Foundry and AIP to rebuild deposit onboarding, with Palantir engineers working inside the bank on document collection, entity verification and risk checks. PLTR closed at $200.50 (-0.23%). GOOG closed at $344.91 (+0.37%) and AMZN at $254.76 (+0.27%). ARKVX's Oct. 15 NAV was not posted at press time; Wednesday's was $60.67.

OUR VIEW (long term): one bank at a time, AI software is moving from pilot to daily operations. That is where PLTR earns its premium. GOOG and AMZN benefit as the clouds behind models like Anthropic's.
What's next: Tesla's Roadster livestream is tonight at 8:55 PM ET, and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh is scheduled to speak late tonight. Friday is monthly options expiration. Tesla reports Oct. 21, Robinhood Oct. 27, and the Fed meets Oct. 27 to 28. Stay patient, keep DCA'ing, and remember: volatility is vitality.
