📊 MARKET OVERVIEW
Good morning, G.L.A. Nation. What a time to be an investor.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite BOTH closed at new record highs yesterday. Let that sink in. While the finance media was screaming about Iran tensions and geopolitical uncertainty, the market did what it always does — climbed the wall of worry and made new highs. This is Rule #19 in action — the market spends 83% of its time within 10% of all-time highs. The media wants you scared. The market wants to go up.
Overnight Futures (as of 7:30 AM ET):
S&P 500 Futures: Down 0.2% — slight pullback after record close (SPY $715.17)
Nasdaq Futures: Down 0.6% — tech taking a breather before the biggest earnings week of the year
Dow Futures: Up ~117 points (+0.2%) — rotation into value/industrials
What’s Driving Markets Today:
MEGA EARNINGS WEEK: This is the Super Bowl of earnings. Five of the “Magnificent Seven” report this week — Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft on WEDNESDAY, Apple on THURSDAY. This will set the tone for the next several weeks.
GM crushed earnings this morning — beat by $1.08/share and raised full-year guidance. Shares up 3.8% pre-market.
Iran/U.S. tensions simmer: Trump canceled the Pakistan envoy meeting, but Iran offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz if the war ends and blockade lifts. Oil at $98. The media will blow this up — we stay focused on fundamentals.
European markets green — Stoxx 600 up 0.2%, oil & gas and banks leading.
NVDA just hit a new 52-week high. More on this below. 🔥
Media BS Alert 🚨: You’ll see headlines today about “futures slipping” and “market uncertainty.” The S&P just made a new all-time high. Futures are down 0.2%. That’s called NOISE. Don’t let the media’s obsession with sensationalizing every -0.2% move shake your conviction. Rule #8 — The Finance Media Is NOT Your Friend.
🔥 THE SEXY 6 UPDATE
1. TESLA (TSLA) — $378.67 (+0.63% yesterday)
Key News: Tesla has officially started Cybercab production! This is MASSIVE. The robotaxi thesis is becoming reality. Tigress Financial upgraded TSLA to Buy this morning.
Catalyst Watch: Cybercab production ramp, Q1 earnings already reported (heavy spending on autonomy/Optimus), DZ Bank upgraded from Sell to Hold. The stock is down 15.8% YTD but has strong technical support at these levels.
Our Take: Market cap $1.42T. Cybercab production is the beginning of the robotaxi revolution. This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for. DCA opportunity while the media focuses on the YTD decline.
2. PALANTIR (PLTR) — $143.10 (flat yesterday)
Key News: Earnings coming May 4th — this could be the turning point. Analysts are noting the AI growth story remains intact even after the valuation pullback.
Catalyst Watch: May 4th earnings report, continued government/commercial AI contract wins, defense spending tailwinds with ongoing geopolitical tensions.
Our Take: The media loves to hate Palantir’s valuation. We love the product. Alex Karp is building something that governments and enterprises CANNOT live without. Earnings will tell the story.
3. STRATEGY (MSTR) — $169.20 (-1.06% yesterday)
Key News: Bitcoin pulling back to ~$76,600 after rejection at $80K. Peter Schiff is criticizing the funding model (shocker — Schiff has been wrong on Bitcoin for a decade). TD Cowen says crypto treasury accumulators are buying opportunities.
Catalyst Watch: Bitcoin ETF inflows hit $820M recently. $2.43B in total spot Bitcoin ETF inflows for April. The institutional money is coming.
Our Take: Michael Saylor’s conviction is unshakeable, and so is ours. Short-term BTC volatility is our friend — Rule #6, Volatility is a Feature, Not a Bug.
4. ROBINHOOD (HOOD) — $83.95 (-0.90% yesterday)
Key News: Price target raised to $110 from $95. The OpenAI deal partnership sent shares surging last week. Robinhood is becoming a full financial services platform with AI integration.
Catalyst Watch: Earnings approaching, $143.5B in assets under custody, Polymarket integration, potential $100+ breakout on strong report.
Our Take: HOOD is democratizing finance — exactly what G.L.A. INVEST believes in. The technical setup shows a double-bottom at $68 with a neckline at $84. We’re right at the breakout zone.
5. NVIDIA (NVDA) — $216.61 (+4.00% yesterday) 🚀 NEW 52-WEEK HIGH!
Key News: NVDA closed at a NEW 52-WEEK HIGH on Monday, up 4% on 184.7 million shares of volume. This is the first time NVDA has traded in record territory since last year. The AI infrastructure build-out continues at full speed.
Catalyst Watch: Mega-cap tech earnings this week will highlight AI capex spending (bullish for NVDA), continued data center demand, new chip announcements.
Our Take: The king of AI hardware just broke out. When NVDA makes new highs, it’s telling you something — the AI spending cycle is ACCELERATING, not slowing. This is Rule #3, the largest innovation boom in human history.
6. ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) — $25.52 (-0.97% yesterday)
Key News: Bitcoin hovering around $76,600-$78,000. Spot ETF inflows remain strong at $2.43B for April. Short-term holder profit-taking is offsetting fresh institutional demand.
Catalyst Watch: Rising oil prices and Iran risk creating a “risk-off” headwind for crypto. Key support at $73,500. If BTC can reclaim $80K, expect a rapid move higher.
Our Take: Bitcoin consolidation below $80K is healthy. The institutional infrastructure is built, the ETF inflows are consistent, and the halving cycle supports long-term appreciation. Stay patient.
📈 APEX 10 ADDITIONS
BITMINE IMMERSION (BMNR) — $21.55 (-2.66% yesterday)
Trading in the $21-$24 battle zone after a 10.5% spike to $23.77 last week. NYSE uplisting is fueling momentum. The Ethereum treasury play gives exposure to ETH at the corporate level. Tom Lee approaching 5% ownership — bullish signal. Market cap ~$12.8B.
STRATEGY INC PREFERRED 10% (STRC) — $99.45 (flat)
Stable as always. This is our “cash-like” position (with investment risk) that pays a 10% preferred dividend backed by Strategy’s massive Bitcoin treasury. Exactly where we want it — steady income while we wait for opportunities.
LEMONADE (LMND) — $65.60 (-0.17%)
Quiet session. Lemonade continues to disrupt the insurance industry with AI-driven underwriting. The stock is consolidating. Watch for the next earnings report as the growth story develops.
AMAZON (AMZN) — $261.12 (-1.09%)
MASSIVE WEEK: Earnings report TOMORROW (April 29). Amazon just committed $25 BILLION total to Anthropic, with $5B added on April 20. AWS has a locked-in AI customer pipeline. Analysts estimate the OpenAI and Anthropic deals add ~$200B to the backlog. This earnings call will be about AI monetization — expect fireworks.
🏢 PRIVATE MARKET INTEL
The private markets are ON FIRE right now. Here’s what’s happening:
Anthropic — Valued at a staggering $380 BILLION. Google is investing up to $40B in cash and compute. Amazon has committed $25B. This is the hottest AI company on the planet right now. When this IPOs, it will reshape the S&P 500.
Cerebras — Filed for IPO at $35B valuation, anchored by a blockbuster OpenAI deal. This AI chip company is coming for NVIDIA’s market share. IPO could be one of the biggest of 2026.
OpenAI — Targeting a public listing as early as Q4 2026. This will be the biggest AI IPO ever. These mega IPOs (SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic) could reshape the entire S&P 500.
SpaceX / xAI — Elon’s xAI has been exploring AI collaborations with Mistral and Cursor. Anthropic blocked xAI from accessing Claude models through Cursor. The AI wars are heating up.
Neuralink, Saronic, Anduril, Stripe, Perplexity, Databricks, Kraken — No major headlines this week, but these companies remain on our watchlist as future IPO candidates in the innovation economy.
🦅 ARK / CATHIE WOOD WATCH
Cathie has been BUSY this week:
BIGGEST BUY: Purchased 4+ million shares of X-Energy (XE) across multiple funds — $92.5 MILLION worth. Cathie is going ALL IN on nuclear energy. This aligns with our thesis on AI’s massive energy demands.
Bought Amazon (AMZN) ahead of Wednesday’s earnings — smart positioning ahead of the Anthropic narrative.
Sold $75M of AMD — trimming semiconductor exposure after the recent surge.
Sold Rocket Lab — taking profits in the space sector.
ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) made its FIRST-EVER lead investment in a startup called Lucra — and surprisingly, it’s NOT an AI company.
Performance Note: ARKK is down 1.76% YTD vs S&P +4.67%. But remember — Cathie doesn’t invest for quarters, she invests for 5-year horizons. The SEXY 6 has returned 72.2% CAGR since 2021. Patience wins.
📖 BIBLE LESSON OF THE DAY
Rule #7 — Miss 10 Days, Lose Half Your Gains
This is one of the most powerful rules in the Bible, and it’s PERFECTLY timed for today.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq just hit record highs. Right now, somewhere, someone is thinking: “Maybe I should sell and wait for a pullback.”
DON’T DO IT.
Historical data proves that the majority of stock market gains each year come from just a HANDFUL of unpredictable, high-powered rally days. If you miss just the 10 best trading days in a year, your returns get CUT IN HALF. And here’s the kicker — those outsized rally days often happen RIGHT AFTER sharp declines, catching sidelined investors completely off guard.
Remember Covid? The April 2025 tariff correction? The people who panicked and sold missed the snap-back rallies that created the biggest single-day gains. Sitting in cash is TRASH.
The Hall of Fame for Market Timers is an EMPTY ROOM.
Today’s lesson: The market hit record highs. My preferred strategy is to BE INVESTED when these days happen, not trying to predict them. I favor DCA and holding to let compounding do its work. That’s how generational wealth is built.
🏀 SPORTS CORNER
NBA Playoffs: OKC Thunder swept the Suns 4-0. Orlando Magic lead Pistons 3-1. Nuggets stay alive (beat Wolves 125-113, Minnesota leads 3-2). Lakers up 2-0 on Rockets. Multiple games tonight!
NHL Playoffs: Stars vs Wild went to OT last night. Playoff hockey is peak entertainment.
MLB: Full slate today with 10+ games. Baseball season rolling.
Kentucky Derby approaching — first Saturday in May is right around the corner! 🐎
💎 THE FORMULA
DCA + Exponential Growth + Compounding Interest = Generational Wealth
This isn’t just a formula. It’s a LIFESTYLE. Time in the market beats timing the market, in my long-term view.
The innovation boom is here. AI, robotics, energy storage, blockchain — these aren’t buzzwords, they’re the foundation of the next decade of wealth creation. We’re in the beginning innings. Stay invested. Stay convicted. Stay educated.
