Good morning, G.L.A. Nation! ☀️
We’re closing out April on a STRONG note. The S&P 500 is on pace for a +9.3% monthly gain and the Nasdaq is heading for a jaw-dropping +14.3% surge — the best month for both since 2020. Remember what we always say: Miss 10 Days, Lose Half Your Gains (Rule #7). Anyone who panic-sold during the early-April tariff correction is kicking themselves right now. Let’s get into it.
📊 MARKET OVERVIEW
Futures This Morning: S&P 500 futures are trading HIGHER this morning, boosted by strong after-hours earnings (Amazon absolutely crushed it) and declining oil prices. Nasdaq futures are leading the charge. The Dow slid 250+ points yesterday for its 5th straight losing day, but the broader market tells a different story — tech is carrying everything.
The Fed (Yesterday): The FOMC voted to hold rates at 3.5%-3.75% in what may have been Jerome Powell’s final meeting as Chair. The vote was a rare 8-4 split — one member wanted a cut, three others objected to the dovish language. Powell stated he’s staying on the board despite political pressure. The market shrugged it off because everyone expected a hold. Translation: The Fed is on autopilot. Focus on earnings.
Today’s Economic Data — THIS IS A BIG DAY:
Q1 GDP Advance Estimate — The broadest measure of economic health. This will move markets.
Initial Jobless Claims — Labor market pulse check
March PCE & Core PCE Prices — The Fed’s PREFERRED inflation gauge
ECB Rate Decision — Europe is making moves too
Major Earnings Today: Apple (AAPL), Eli Lilly (LLY), Mastercard (MA), Caterpillar (CAT), Merck (MRK) — it’s a STACKED day. 318 companies reporting.
Tariff Watch: The tariff war backdrop continues with China still the primary target. Apple and semiconductor companies got temporary exemptions, but uncertainty remains. This is the kind of noise the media loves to amplify. Rule #8 — The Finance Media is Not Your Friend. They want you scared and trading. We want you informed and holding.
🔥 THE SEXY 6 UPDATE
1. TESLA (TSLA) — $372.80 (-0.86%)
Tesla reported weaker-than-expected Q1 revenue of $22.4B recently, and the stock has been digesting that. The company significantly increased its 2026 capital spending plans — they’re going ALL IN on robotaxi and Optimus. Driverless cars are the future, but EV sales provide the cash flow to get there. Robotaxi and Optimus timelines were pushed slightly, which created short-term noise. We don’t care about short-term noise — we care about the 5-10 year thesis, and it’s INTACT. The $371-$377 trading range is a consolidation zone. DCA territory.
2. PALANTIR (PLTR) — $137.97 (-2.27%)
PLTR is down 24% year-to-date and trades about 32% below its 52-week high. Q1 earnings drop May 4 (after close). Wedbush analysts are bullish, expecting commercial acceleration and government contract wins. There’s buzz about an FAA AI contract competition. The stock is coiled like a spring heading into earnings. Median analyst target: $202.50. If you believe in the AI revolution (we do), this is the premier pure-play AI platform company. Period.
3. STRATEGY / MICROSTRATEGY (MSTR) — $158.19 (-4.54%)
Strategy now owns 818,334 BTC — officially surpassing BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) with 806,178 BTC. Michael Saylor just predicted Bitcoin will climb to $10 MILLION per coin as digital credit instruments drive long-term appreciation. MSTR’s market cap is currently LESS than its Bitcoin holdings — which is mathematically absurd and a screaming value signal. Q1 results coming in early May. Saylor turned preferred stock (STRC) into jet fuel for Bitcoin accumulation. Genius.
4. ROBINHOOD (HOOD) — $71.20 (-13.24%)
⚠️ Ouch. Robinhood got hammered yesterday after reporting Q1 results that missed expectations, compounded by insider selling headlines. The stock dropped from $82 to $71 in a single session. HERE’S WHAT THE MEDIA WON’T TELL YOU: Robinhood Ventures Fund just invested in Stripe and ElevenLabs. This company is evolving from a brokerage app into a full financial services powerhouse. P/E of 40x with a $63B market cap. This is EXACTLY the kind of volatility that creates buying opportunities (Rule #6). The thesis hasn’t changed — the quarter disappointed. Those are two VERY different things.
5. NVIDIA (NVDA) — $209.25 (-1.84%)
NVDA was upgraded to BUY this week as export controls have been clarified for the H20 chip in China, the Blackwell GPU ramp is delivering ahead of schedule per TSMC supply chain data, and the macro headwinds from the Iran situation have eased. Google’s new TPUs are creating some competitive noise, but NVIDIA’s moat is a fortress. HBM4 timelines shifting slightly, but Micron and Samsung are in mass production for Vera Rubin. ROE forecast: 207%. This is the picks-and-shovels play of the AI gold rush.
6. ARK 21SHARES BITCOIN ETF (ARKB) — $25.04 (-1.13%)
Bitcoin sitting at approximately $76,283 as of this morning. BTC is supported by robust ETF inflows ($2.1B in the last 8 days) and corporate accumulation. Exchange reserves have hit multi-year lows — reduced supply creating a bullish environment. The $80K zone is the Short-Term Holder Cost Basis. Every time BTC approaches this level, selling pressure intensifies, but the supply squeeze is real. Long-term thesis: Bitcoin is digital gold, and the institutions are buying every dip.
📈 APEX 10 ADDITIONS
BITMINE IMMERSION (BMNR) — $20.66 (-3.82%)
BMNR’s Ethereum treasury accumulation is catching up to Strategy’s Bitcoin pace! CoinDesk reported that Bitmine’s latest purchase was its largest weekly ETH accumulation of 2026, capping a four-month streak of escalating buys. The stock jumped 10.5% intraday before pulling back on share resale news. This is the Ethereum version of what Saylor is doing with Bitcoin.
STRATEGY INC PREFERRED 10% (STRC) — $99.47 (+0.02%)
Rock solid as always. STRC is our cash-like position — the preferred stock that pays 10% and gives you Bitcoin exposure through Strategy. Barely moved while everything else was volatile. This is what stability looks like in a crypto-adjacent portfolio.
LEMONADE (LMND) — $56.00 (-14.85%)
Another big drop, but look at the ACTUAL NUMBERS: Q1 revenue surged 70.6% year-over-year to $258 million, BEATING expectations. They raised 2026 guidance and reaffirmed positive adjusted EBITDA by Q4 2026. The stock initially jumped 7.3% premarket on the beat, then sold off hard. Classic sell the news — the kind of irrational short-term move that Rule #1 warns us about. The AI-powered insurance disruptor is GROWING at 71%. The market is a voting machine today; it’ll be a weighing machine tomorrow.
AMAZON (AMZN) — $263.04 (+1.29%)
🚀 AMAZON CRUSHED IT. Q1 2026 results: Revenue $181.5 billion (+17% YoY), EPS $2.78 vs $1.64 expected — a 69.5% beat. Online stores grew 12% to $64.3B. AWS continues to be the AI hub driving everything. Operating income hit $23.9B (13.1% margin). Cathie Wood has been loading up — ARK bought $72M+ of AMZN recently. This is what happens when you own companies that solve the biggest problems (Rule #25).
🏦 PRIVATE MARKET INTEL
SpaceX: The Economist just reported that SpaceX’s planned $75 BILLION IPO at a $2 TRILLION valuation is already affecting public markets. SpaceX also won Golden Dome interceptor contracts alongside Anduril — tasked with demonstrating space-based interceptor capability by 2028. This could be the biggest public offering in history.
xAI: Has become a genuine frontier competitor in AI rather than a peripheral entrant. The merged roadmap with SpaceX is built around infrastructure logic.
Anduril: Won Golden Dome contracts alongside SpaceX, Lockheed, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman. Defense AI is a massive growth market.
Anthropic: Sitting on roughly $65 BILLION in pledged equity capital and 10 GIGAWATTS of reserved AI training power. To put that in perspective: 10 GW is enough to power a mid-sized European country.
Stripe: Valuation reportedly soaring past $150 billion. Robinhood Ventures just invested in Stripe.
Cerebras, Perplexity, Databricks, Neuralink: All leveraging AI to progress at an incredible pace. 2026 is set to be a pivotal year for tech IPOs.
🏹 ARK / CATHIE WOOD WATCH
Cathie has been ACTIVE this week:
BUYS:
CoreWeave (CRWV) — Significant new position (AI infrastructure play)
Amazon (AMZN) — $72M+ purchased
X-Energy (XE) — MASSIVE buy: 4M+ shares worth $92.5 MILLION (nuclear energy for AI)
Robinhood (HOOD) — Buying the dip
SELLS:
ARKB — Sold 243K shares (~$1.35M) — trimming, not exiting
AMD — Reducing AI chip supplier exposure
Rocket Lab — Taking profits
THE BIG PICTURE: Cathie is rotating FROM AI suppliers TO platform owners and energy companies. AI needs POWER, and the companies that provide it (X-Energy nuclear) and the platforms that deploy it (Amazon AWS) are the next mega-winners. This is first-principles thinking in action (Rule #22).
📖 BIBLE LESSON OF THE DAY — Rule #6: Volatility is a Feature, Not a Bug
Like waves on a boat ride, or traffic at Rush Hour, Corrections are Literally part of This Game. So Don’t Panic or be Surprised when they happen!
Today’s lesson couldn’t be more relevant. Look at what happened yesterday: HOOD dropped 13.2% on an earnings miss. LMND dropped 14.9% despite BEATING revenue estimates. MSTR dropped 4.5% even though they hold more Bitcoin than BlackRock.
This is the voting machine at work. Fear, knee-jerk reactions, algorithms selling into headlines. The people panic-selling LMND after a 71% revenue growth quarter don’t know what they own. The people dumping HOOD after one quarter don’t see the platform evolution.
Volatility is Vitality. It means capital, energy, and attention are flowing through these assets. The big money uses volatility to shake the small money. Don’t be the small money. The stock market is the only store on earth where shoppers get scared during a sale.
If my thesis hasn’t changed, I prefer not to change my position. I favor DCA on weakness. Let the weighing machine do its job.
