📊 SECTION 1: MARKET OVERVIEW
Futures are sliding this morning. S&P 500 futures, Nasdaq futures, and Dow futures are all in the red ahead of the open as oil prices flirt with $100/barrel and the market digests Tesla’s Q1 earnings from last night.
Here’s what’s driving the tape:
Oil is the story. Crude surged to $94.14 and climbing — up over 1% overnight — as US-Iran peace talks have completely stalled. Trump says the ceasefire will remain “indefinitely” while awaiting a revised Iranian peace proposal, but Tehran has said it has no intention of engaging in talks. Meanwhile, reports of gunfire hitting container ships in the Strait of Hormuz are keeping the oil bid alive. S&P Global just cut their 2026 oil demand forecast by 700,000 barrels per day due to the war’s economic impact. Erdogan is warning the Iran conflict is “starting to weaken Europe.”
Don’t let the media scare you. Yes, oil is high. Yes, geopolitics are messy. But here’s the reality: the S&P 500 is up 29.6% year-over-year and hit record highs just two days ago after the ceasefire extension. The S&P closed around 7,109 yesterday. Full-year S&P 500 earnings are expected to grow 18% — that would be the third straight year of double-digit earnings growth. The media wants you panicking about oil headlines. We’re focused on the weighing machine.
Economic Data Today (Watch These):
• 8:30 AM ET — Initial Jobless Claims (expected ~213,000 — labor market remains remarkably stable)
• 9:45 AM ET — S&P Global Manufacturing & Services PMI (flash April reading — this will reflect Iran war impact on manufacturing)
Earnings Today: American Express (AXP), Blackstone (BX), American Airlines (AAL), Intel (INTC after hours)

🔥 SECTION 2: THE SEXY 6 UPDATE
TSLA — Tesla | Closed: $387.51 (+0.28%)
THE BIG STORY OF THE MORNING. Tesla reported Q1 2026 earnings last night and BEAT on both top and bottom line:
• EPS: $0.41 vs. $0.37 expected (beat by 10.8%)
• Revenue: $22.39 billion vs. $22.3B expected
• Gross Margin: 21.1% — up 478 basis points YoY from 16.3%, and above Q4 2025’s 20.1%. Strongest margin in a while.
• FSD subscribers hit 1.28 million (though this includes lifetime purchasers, not just monthly subs)
The Good: Revenue growth returned — ~14% YoY. Margins expanding. EPS crushed expectations.
The Honest Truth: Tesla pulled some “one-time benefits related to warranty and tariffs” to boost the numbers. Deliveries of 358,023 missed expectations by ~7,600 units. They built 50,000+ more vehicles than they sold (inventory buildup). Energy storage dropped 38% sequentially. And robotaxi launch in 5 US cities appears to be getting pushed back — again. Musk hinted the new Roadster could debut “in a month or so.”
Our Take: The earnings beat is real, the margin expansion is real, but the media will fixate on robotaxi delays. We don’t care about one quarter. We care about the next 5-10 years. Tesla is building the platform for autonomous driving, robotics (Optimus), and energy — the three largest TAMs on earth. I favor DCA on any dips.
PLTR — Palantir | Closed: $152.62 (+4.56%)
Palantir is RIPPING. Up 4.5% yesterday, climbing back toward its highs as new FAA contracts and Iran war intelligence contracts reinforce the impenetrable government moat we love. PLTR dropped to $128 in early April and has roared back to $152+. The Iran conflict is a tailwind for Palantir’s defense AI capabilities — exactly the kind of “solving the biggest problems” company we invest in. Earnings coming May 5.
MSTR — Strategy | Closed: $179.36 (+9.39%)
MONSTER day for Strategy. Up 9.4% as Bitcoin pumps and the market digests their latest massive BTC purchase: 34,164 Bitcoin bought for $2.54 billion at an average price of $74,395/coin announced April 20. Total holdings now: 815,061 BTC. Saylor keeps executing the playbook. The stock surged 25%+ in 5 days. As Bitcoin moves, MSTR moves harder — that’s the leverage play we signed up for.
HOOD — Robinhood | Closed: $88.43 (+2.31%)
Robinhood getting love on two fronts: (1) Bought a piece of OpenAI — strategic AI positioning, and (2) Mizuho raised price target to $115 (from $105) citing the SEC’s pattern day trader rule change opening the floodgates for retail trading volume. HOOD is up 110% in the last year and 817% over three years. Down 23.4% YTD from its $153 high — we see that as opportunity, not a problem (Rule #6).
NVDA — Nvidia | Closed: $202.50 (+1.31%)
Trading solidly around $200-202. Wall Street consensus has NVDA hitting $370 billion in revenue in fiscal 2027 (up from $215.9B in FY2026) and climbing to ~$480B by FY2028. The Blackwell AI infrastructure buildout and Vera Rubin successor platform suggest multi-year growth. At $199-202, this is a compelling entry point below the 52-week high of $212.
ARKB — ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF | Closed: $26.17 (+5.14%)
Bitcoin is pumping. ARKB up over 5% as BTC trades around $76,000. The ceasefire extension, institutional adoption, and Strategy’s massive buy are all fueling momentum. Bitcoin ETF inflows remain strong. Remember Rule #21 — DCA + Exponential Growth + Compounding Interest = Generational Wealth. Bitcoin is digital gold, and we’re still early.

📈 SECTION 3: APEX 10 ADDITIONS
BMNR — BitMine Immersion | Closed: $23.31 (+7.37%)
Breaking out. BMNR flashed its first major bullish signal since December, up sharply from the YTD low of $17.23. Tom Lee is approaching the 5% ownership mark. The Ethereum treasury play is working as crypto momentum returns. Watch for continuation above $23.
STRC — Strategy Inc. Preferred 10% | Closed: $99.44 (+0.15%)
Rock steady. The 10% preferred is doing exactly what it’s supposed to — providing stable income while you wait. Trading near par at $99.44. This is our “cash-like” holding that pays you to be patient.
LMND — Lemonade Insurance | Closed: $66.50 (+0.67%)
Quiet day for LMND. The AI-powered insurance disruptor continues to trade in its range. We’re watching for their next earnings report and continued growth in the AI underwriting platform. Long-term thesis intact.
AMZN — Amazon | Closed: $255.36 (+2.18%)
Amazon up 2%+ as the market continues to reward its AI positioning. Cathie Wood just bought AMZN on the $100 billion Anthropic deal that is reshaping the AI race. Amazon’s cloud (AWS) + AI + logistics moat makes it one of the strongest “cash-like” positions in our portfolio.

🔒 SECTION 4: PRIVATE MARKET INTEL
The IPO wave of the decade is forming. Here’s what’s happening with our top private holdings:
SpaceX — Confidentially filed for an IPO targeting a valuation above $1.75 TRILLION. This would be the largest IPO in history. SpaceX has absorbed xAI at a combined $1.25T valuation.
Cerebras — The AI chip maker has filed its prospectus to go public, joining the wave of tech IPOs alongside SpaceX.
Anthropic — Targeting a late 2026 listing. Amazon’s $100B deal is reshaping the competitive landscape.
OpenAI — Also targeting a late 2026 public listing. The AI arms race means both Anthropic and OpenAI will be available to retail investors soon.
Databricks — Expected to pursue a public listing as part of the 2026 AI IPO wave.
Anduril — Just announced a partnership with Kraken Technology Group for small unmanned surface vessels (USVs). Anduril will handle US manufacturing and payload integration. Critical capability given the Strait of Hormuz situation.
—
🏹 SECTION 5: ARK / CATHIE WOOD WATCH
Bought Amazon (AMZN) — Betting on the $100B Anthropic deal reshaping the AI race.
Bought $2.5 million of Netflix (NFLX) — Buying the dip on a tumbling megacap. Classic Cathie contrarian move.
Trimmed Bitcoin target — Cathie has adjusted her long-term BTC outlook and reduced exposure to select crypto-related equities.
First lead investment in startup Lucra — ARK Venture Fund made its first-ever lead investment through ARKVX. Interestingly, it’s NOT an AI company.

📖 SECTION 6: BIBLE LESSON OF THE DAY
Rule #6 — Volatility is a Feature, Not a Bug
“Like waves on a boat ride, or traffic at Rush Hour, Corrections are Literally part of This Game. So Don’t Panic or be Surprised when they happen!”
Why this matters TODAY: Tesla is going to be volatile after earnings. The bears will scream about robotaxi delays. Oil prices will make headline writers lose their minds. Futures are red and the media will tell you the sky is falling.
But here’s the truth: the S&P 500 just hit record highs two days ago. Tesla beat on earnings AND revenue. Bitcoin is pumping. Our SEXY 6 had a MONSTER day yesterday — MSTR +9.4%, ARKB +5.1%, PLTR +4.6%.
Volatility is only bad if you don’t know what you own. WE know what we own. We’ve done the research. We understand the risks. We use volatility to our advantage by Dollar Cost Averaging.
“The Stock Market is the only store on earth where the shoppers get scared during a sale.”

🏈 SECTION 7: SPORTS CORNER
NBA Playoffs: Magic vs. Pistons | Suns vs. Thunder
NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs:
• Sabres at Bruins — Game 3, 7:00 PM ET (TNT) — Series tied 1-1
• Avalanche at Kings — Game 3, 10:00 PM ET (TNT) — Colorado leads 2-0
Good night to have some games on while you review your portfolio! 🏒🏀
