📊 SECTION 1: MARKET OVERVIEW

Good morning, investors. Buckle up — it’s a BIG day.

Futures are climbing this morning after President Trump announced an indefinite extension of the US-Iran ceasefire, easing the war fears that pushed stocks off their all-time highs earlier this week. But don’t get too comfortable — the Strait of Hormuz blockade remains in place, and Iran attacked a container ship off Oman overnight. This situation is far from resolved.

Where We Stand (Yesterday’s Close):

  • S&P 500: 7,109.14 (-0.24%) — pulled back from all-time highs

  • Dow Jones: 49,442.56 (essentially flat)

  • Nasdaq Composite: 24,404.39 (-0.26%) — snapped a 13-session win streak on Monday

  • 10-Year Treasury Yield: 4.27%

  • VIX: 18.99 — slightly elevated but manageable

  • WTI Crude Oil: $89.35/barrel — still elevated from the conflict

  • Bitcoin: ~$77,340

  • Gold: ~$4,806 (safe haven demand strong)

What’s Driving Markets Today:

  • TESLA Q1 EARNINGS AFTER THE BELL — This is THE headline. Elon Musk and team report after market close. The street is watching deliveries, margins, and robotaxi/robot updates. This will move everything.

  • Iran Ceasefire Extension — Trump extended the ceasefire indefinitely at Pakistan’s request, but the naval blockade continues. Don’t let the media tell you the war is over.

  • Massive Earnings Week — 90+ companies reporting. 3M, UnitedHealth, United Airlines already reported. About a B+ grade so far.

  • Apple CEO Tim Cook Stepping Down — Big late-Monday news that shook tech sentiment.

  • Retail Sales Strong — March retail sales +1.7% (vs. 1.3% expected). Consumer is still spending.

  • Inflation Ticking Up — US inflation rose to 3.3% in March from 2.4% in Feb. Kevin Warsh (Trump’s Fed chair pick) had his Senate hearing yesterday.

  • IMF Cut Global Growth — World Economic Outlook now at 3.1%, citing oil volatility from the Iran conflict.

🚨 Media BS Alert: The finance media is going to scare you with Iran headlines while pumping euphoria about earnings. Pick a lane, CNBC. Remember Rule #8 — the finance media is NOT your friend. They profit from your fear and your FOMO equally. Stick to the research.

🔒 SECTION 4: PRIVATE MARKET INTEL

The private markets are ON FIRE. A wave of IPOs is coming.

SpaceX — Confidentially filed for an IPO targeting a valuation ABOVE $1.75 TRILLION. Has absorbed xAI at a combined $1.25T valuation. This will be the largest IPO in history. SpaceX also working with Cursor (AI coding tool) with an option to buy for $60B.

Anthropic — Amazon deal is the headline: $25B in new investment, $100B committed to AWS over 10 years. Targeting a late 2026 public listing. ARKVX holders, this is a monster position.

Cerebras — AI chip maker officially filed to go public last week, joining SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI in the IPO wave.

Anduril — Just announced a partnership with Kraken Technology Group for small autonomous naval vessels (USVs). DIRECTLY relevant to the Iran/Hormuz situation. Building the future of autonomous defense.

xAI — Now absorbed into SpaceX. Combined entity valued at $1.25T+.

Databricks, OpenAI — Both expected to pursue public listings. The AI IPO wave of late 2026 could be historic.

Stripe, Neuralink, Saronic, Perplexity, Erebor, Vulcan — No major breaking news this week. Keep ARKVX for exposure to this ecosystem.

🏹 SECTION 5: ARK / CATHIE WOOD WATCH

Cathie has been active:

  • Monday (4/20): ARK bought Amazon (AMZN) and DoorDash (DASH) — capitalizing on the Anthropic deal

  • Last week (4/17): Bought 26,161 shares of Netflix (NFLX) worth ~$2.5M after a pullback

  • Last week (4/17): Sold Circle Internet Group (CRCL) and Bullish (BLSH) — $2.57M in crypto exchange profit-taking

  • 4/15: No trades — unusual. S&P at record highs, she “slammed the brakes”

  • ARK Fund Flows: ~$1.3B in net outflows over 12 months — the crowd is leaving right before the biggest innovation cycle in history. Actually bullish for contrarian investors.

The takeaway: Cathie is positioning for AI infrastructure (Amazon/AWS) and rotating some crypto profits. She sees the same AI boom we do. The masses selling ARK funds will regret it in 3-5 years.

📖 SECTION 6: BIBLE LESSON OF THE DAY

Rule #6 — Volatility is a Feature, Not a Bug

“Like waves on a boat ride, or traffic at Rush Hour, Corrections are Literally part of This Game. So Don’t Panic or be Surprised when they happen!”

Today’s lesson couldn’t be more relevant. Markets pulled back from all-time highs because of Iran headlines. HOOD is down 5%. MSTR down 4%. The media will show you red arrows and scary war headlines.

But here’s the truth: The S&P 500 hit all-time highs LAST WEEK. We’re talking about less than 1% from the peak. This isn’t a crisis — this is NORMAL.

The people panicking don’t know what they own. They’re reacting to headlines instead of fundamentals. Meanwhile, Tesla is about to report earnings. Amazon just locked in a $100B AI deal. Institutional money is pouring into Bitcoin ETFs.

Volatility is Vitality. Volatility is our Traveling Companion, and the Price we Agree to Pay for Exponential Growth.

The big money uses volatility to manipulate the small money. When you see a 3-5% pullback in names like HOOD or LMND, that’s not a sell signal — that’s a DCA opportunity. We’ve been through -67% in 2022 and came back for +174% in 2023 and +212% in 2024. A 5% dip? That’s Tuesday.

Don’t be a scared shopper at a sale. Be the smart one loading up the cart.
